Paul Andrews, Secretary General, International Organization of Securities Commissions

Paul is an esteemed member of the financial services industry, with his 18 years at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) being a particular highlight. During his time at FINRA, he directed their international engagements and worked closely with key regulators and regulatory bodies worldwide, including IOSCO who he joined in March 2016. FINRA is responsible for regulating the activities of 3,700 brokerage firms with over 630,000 brokers.  Paul’s experience and expertise makes him a key figure in establishing the long-term vision for market regulation. With innovation being at the forefront of the financial services industry, Paul’s keynote speech on Friday will address how regulators use of technology will manage the challenges and opportunities of areas such as Fintech, capital markets and data sharing. The decisions made by Paul and the IOSCO have reverberations across the globe for both the finance industry and consumers, so Paul’s perspective is not to be missed.
