She also serves as Non- Executive Director on the Board of 4 international listed companies. A true global citizen, Moller has over 35 years of experience as an international civil servant in the United Nations. He began his career in 1979 with the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees and worked with UNHCR in different capacities in New York, Iran, Mexico, Haiti and Geneva. Between 1997 and 2001 he was the Head of the Office of the Under-Secretary-General for Political Affairs at United Nations headquarters; between 2001 and 2006 he was the Director for Political, Peacekeeping and Humanitarian Affairs in the Office of the Secretary-General.

Mr. Møller also served as the Secretary-General’s Special Representative for Cyprus from 2006 to 2008 and was the Executive Director of the Kofi Annan Foundation from 2008 to 2011.

Sir John Vincent Cable, is a British Politician who first studied Economics at the University of Cambridge and has taught the subject at Glasgow University.
Cable has worked previously as First Secretary in the Diplomatic Service for the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and also as Deputy Director of the Overseas Development Institute. From 1990, Cable was appointed Chief Economist of Shell International and is also a former fellow of Nuffield College Oxford and the LSE.

Cable has also authored several books including “The Storm: the World Economic Crisis” and “What it means”. Sir John Vincent Cable was knighted in the 2015 Dissolution Honours list.

Tony has been CEO and Chairman of the Board of E.ON UK Plc since 2011, and his previous roles in the firm include CEO and Chairman of the Management Board of E.ON Energy Trading in Germany, Managing Directorships for Energy Wholesale, Energy Trading, and UK Production, as well as joining E.ON as Head of Corporate Strategy.

We offer unique and diverse events from activities such as participating in the St Basil’s Sleepout where we raise money and awareness about youth homelessness in the Midlands, to informative and insightful firm presentations from global law firms such as Clifford Chance. The close-knit society feeling remains at the heart of everything we do, making all of our events welcoming to all. WBSS

The Warwick Business School Society is the oldest society at the University of Warwick. Since its creation in 1998, the goal of this independent society has always been to create a bond between the best in business and the future talents of tomorrow. With over 2000 members and a strong experience in organizing corporate and social events, the WBSS has always been a strong pillar of the university’s student life. Whether it is by giving students an opportunity to meet big companies from various industries such as EY and Accenture, Procter & Gamble and Unilever, HSBC and Crédit Suisse, or even Urgo, TeachFirst or BETC (to only name but a few), or by simply helping them in meeting more students from the University and strengthening their future network, the WBSS aims at guiding all of its members across the blurry transition between the student life, and the professional life.

Birmingham MUN

In 2017, we are continuing with the success of this year’s inaugural UBIMUN conference. UBIMUN 2017 will again feature the hugely popular crisis simulation as well as a number of independent committees such as DISEC, HRC and the UN Environment Programme.

Our theme this year is “This world. Our future in debate.” and has been chosen in order to encourage delegates to take a good look at the world that surrounds us and find a way to improve it through discussion.

Being part of this conference is an enriching experience through which you develop crucial skills whilst having an amazing time and meeting many new and interesting people. We are dedicated to making UBIMUN as enriching and enjoyable as possible for all the delegates participating.

We welcome students from all academic backgrounds to participate in our conference. Although debates follow a formal structure, no previous debating experience is required. Information will be updated on our website, as well as our Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.

EBS Symposium

For three days the Campus of EBS University in Oestrich-Winkel, Germany is transformed into a platform for an exchange of thoughts and ideas between leaders and ambitious students. In doing so, new approaches for the challenges of tomorrow are created.

The congress consists of four main parts: speeches and discussions, workshops and presentations, Career Fair as well as entertainment. Furthermore, the Innovation Fair offers opportunities for individuals to exchange and interact. Around 50 well known and high-profile representatives from the world of business, politics, and the general community speak on relevant issues. More than 1,000 selected students, graduates, and young professionals from Germany and abroad attend the EBS Symposium.

Aspiring Solicitors

Access, Opportunity and Assistance. At Aspiring Solicitors, these are the three core values which the organisation has been striving for to increase diversity throughout the legal profession.

What was originally Chris White’s willingness to help others and increase diversity in the legal profession by voluntarily providing free assistance to aspiring solicitors with help on their CVs, applications to law firms, mock interviews and general mentoring has now become the network channel of law firms and aspiring solicitors.

Having been awarded ‘Diversity Initiative Of The Year 2014 – British Legal Awards’, the firm continues to focus on increasing diversity by informing and educating aspiring lawyers about diversity or via initiatives aimed at underrepresented groups in the profession.
